All of us will, undoubtedly, endure times of testing and the question is not whether we are perfect but where our eyes are set. We need to be aware of that for which we were called and of the glorious inheritance that is ours in Christ.

This is the second part of John's study of how to live in a society that, as a whole, no longer recognises Christian values or teachings. John shows how Daniel no only survived but prospered under the rule of successive kings primarily because his gaze what no upon the things of earth but upon the things of heaven. He was a stranger and foreigner in the land and he knew whereof he was a citizen.

This talk was given by Martin French on the 9th December 2007 at The King's Gate Church, Bognor Regis. Martin looks at the story of Jesus healing Jairus' daughter and challenges us to acknowledge the battle between two realities - that which we see with our natural eyes and that which we can only perceive with spiritual eyes. Excellent listening.
